I did Meadow Mist Designs Malted Mystery last year, you can see that here.
It was so enjoyable to have all the fabrics ready, then to cut all the pieces before starting, that I joined the Marble Mystery.
Here is my top finished.
Then comes the question I always have, how to quilt this one. You will all be so suprised, I had it long armed. Our community has a quilting group that meets each week. I rarely join them as I hate to take my machine along. They had a quilt weekend here in the community and I joined along. One of the residents Carol has a long arm, so I decided to have her quilt it. I bring the quilt to her and take it out of the bag, she says that is Cheryl’s latest mystery. I say yes it is. Carol used to live in Greenville and did several quilts for Cheryl’s books. What a coincidence.
I love how it turned out, now I just need to get that binding on.
I’ve been thinking of closing the blog. It takes time away from making things and is not really cost effective. I may just document everything on Instagram to keep track of things for myself.

Your Marble Mystery finish is beautiful. The quilting sure adds to the beauty of your piecing.
Oh that turned out amazing!! and what a fun coincidence with your quilter!! I am not opposed to IG – but I so love blogs – I think you can say more words and document things so much more…. processes and thoughts…
Love your Marble Mystery and the connection of your longarmer to Cheryl! So fun and to think she was one of the reasons we met so many years ago! The quilt is really fun and I love that you had it finished for you.
What a wonderful quilt. So striking and calming. Probably because I am sooo symmetrically based. LOL
What a small world; Carol definitely did beautiful work for Cheryl and I’m glad she did for you, too. Wherever you post, I’ll always be happy to get to see what you are working on.
I love your color choices, Jan!!! Cool swirly quilting!!! Fun that your longarm quilter has quilted for Cheryl, too!
