Just the other day I posted about a quilt for our neighbors. I put the leftovers on the wall (not really a design wall, it was the back of a quit hanging on the wall). Came up with a few options and ran it by a few friends.
Unanimous decision was for number 3. Put the top together. I had a nice size piece leftover from the Tochi quilt, but just shy of the width. I had two layer cake pieces leftover, cut them in half and added them to the middle of the backing leftover. Ready to get quilting.
Ok again it is straight line quilting. Just a bit of “flare” on this one. I did chevrons (not sure what it is called).
I was pretty proud with how the top looked, but then thought wait a minute I added those pieces to the back I hope it doesn’t look all out of wack (love these technical terms) with where the piecing ended up on the back. Wow, it looks like a perfect plan on the quilting on the back. Or we will call it what it really is, LUCKY.
It is a small quilt, measuring at 34 x 34. Decided that I would give it to our neighbors Doris and Vicky, for Doris’ Mom, to go match with the Tochi I just finished.

A stunning little quilt!
I love all the choices, but 3 was my choice. So glad it was the one you choose. Love the quilting design again! So love the design it made on the back.
Pretty quilt. Great colors, and I love the quilting, too.
Oh wow, the positioning of the strip on the backing is perfection!
I think you nailed it — with the fabrics, the design and the quilting!
Nothing wrong with straight line quilting! It goes so well with the design.
Just stunning! Congrats on a lovely gift for your neighbors.
What a stunning quilt. Love the starburst effect on the front and back.
