Decided it was time to pull out a layer cake Snowy Day, by Mr. Domestic. I have had this in my stash for quite sometime.
I am going to use a pattern that I’ve used before for the high school girls quilt swap, you can read about it here.
This quilt went together so quickly, I didn’t get any progress pictures.
Used the wavy stitch for the quilting with a variegated blue thread I received from my quilty friend, Wendy.
Wanted to get some flannel for the backing on this quilt. Stopped in Joanne’s and found a great navy with dots. It is very heavy and soft, especially after a washing.
Thought about using this for a gift, but decided it was staying here.

Super Cute!!! Love the pattern and choice of layer cake!!
I love your new quilt, may I ask what pattern that is?
Very cute quilt! Looks like it went together fast. Love that fabric collection. Adorable! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I love Snowy Day and that you decided to keep it. Sometimes, we do just fall in love with something and it needs to stay with us!
That fabric line has a really lovely range of values (something that is unusual). The flannel backing looks really snuggly, and I can see why it would be hard to gift this one. Enjoy snuggling under it this winter!
Fun quilt, Jan!!! You’ll really enjoy it this winter!!!
That does look so snuggly and the perfect colours for Winter! Your choice of wavy stitch quilting adds to the cosy look of the quilt – no wonder you’ve decided it’s a keeper!
What a nice quilt, and I love that wavy crosshatch quilting (gotta try that!). Glad you could use the thread, too! Fun finish!
