Wow I can’t believe how long it has been since I had any sewing going on here. My last post was May of this year. I’ll give a health update at the end of this post for those interested. I received so many great packages in the mail over the months, I figured it was time to start sewing again. Small projects first.
My friend from High School sent me this cute Quilter’s Blessing square, so I added some borders and quilted this one. A great quick project and can you believe it was my first mug rug! This one will sit on the table in our screen room. Now that the heat is letting up I hope to be enjoying this space a lot more.
She got the little panel, 6 x 6, from Jody Houghton Designs
In 2021 I made quilts for a few neighbors. When I finally decided clean up some project boxes I found some scraps from Cottage Bleu. Decided to put them together for a quick runner. I saw this block on line and am so sorry that I can’t remember who put it together. This runner measures 24 x 16.
Onto the next project box and found more scraps from this quilt, Bohemian Blue. This is one of my favorite fabric lines and I do have 2 more layer cakes of this fabric. I know I said I wouldn’t make another king size quilt, but this fabric is just hoping to be on my bed someday!!!
I received this pattern from quilty friend, Wendy Pieceful Thoughts. Lots of other goods came in that box, but those are for another day.
This was a quick one to put together also and I think this pattern is my new favorite for runners! Maybe even a quilt!!! Thanks to Wendy for this great pattern that will get used many many more times.
I got a great box of quilty things from Kathleen @kathleenmcmusing Here are just two of those things together for another great quick project. It was great that the fabric square needed for the pattern were all cut and ready to go. This one measures at 22 x 22.
Another package came from Nancy @Grace and Peace Quilting. There were so many great things in the package. One of them was a pattern for a runner from Zen Chic, called Tea Time. Nancy included pre cut fabric for this runner, so it was also very quick and easy to put together.
Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs has a mystery quilt along each summer. I decided that I would QAL this year. Fabric selection and cutting has happened. Here are my fabrics ready for piecing, which started yesterday. Here is the link for Malted Mystery QAL
