It has been awhile since I last posted. Like last year!!! So it is time to catch up!
I had been wanting to make Christmas quilts for our guest bed and our bed. Bought fabric for both and they are both Me and My Sister Designs for Moda Fabrics.
Red Dot Green Dash for our King bed.
And Merry and Bright for our Queen guest bed.
Decided for the queen bed to use this free pattern from Happy Quilting, The Wall.
It was a very quick pattern to put together.
Before I could start the King quilt, I got sidetracked. I made Beach House for a friend and she called saying she was having a hard time finds shams for her pillows. I had some fabric left, so I put together a couple of quick shams. No zippers here, just used the envelope plan.
Used the same quilting as I did for the quilt.
They turned out very cute and fit perfectly.
Now back to my King size quilt. Used another free pattern, this time Quarter Stack by Material Girl Quilts. Had to increase the size to 9 high and 10 wide for 90 blocks. Not quite enough fabric in my fat quarter bundle, so added some solid reds.
My first two rows together.
It went together quickly. Of course you then see too many greens bunched together and too many whites and too many …………..
But it is a done top. Had to order backing fabrics, which should be here next week. Bought binding fabric, pre-made last year for these quilts. My first try with pre-made binding.
Now we are all caught up, heading to Daytona Beach tomorrow for AQS!!!
Linking up with some friends:

Small Quilts and Doll Quilts – Design Wall Monday
Two fun, fab quilts, Jan!!! You are ready for Christmas, 2022!!!
AQS!!! I am so missing a good quilt show. Have a blast. Now, your quilts are lovely. The premade bias should be fine, but let me know what you think. I love the Christmas quilt, festive and graphic..
Oh I do love the Christmas quilts! And Beach House is so pretty and soothing! xx
