The FQS had a QAL for the JellyRoll Snowflake summer 2020. Here is the pattern and finished quilts from the Fat Quarter Shop.
Angel from FQS had done the quilt in reverse, using a white jelly roll and Grunge in powder blue. It was gorgeous. Decided I needed one just like it.
Ordered the grunge, had a white jelly roll in my stash. I was ready to go.
This top has been hanging on the wall waiting to get finished! It has been months and those who follow along with me know that I am a one project girl. Start and finish before the next project. This one has broken all the rules, several quilts and projects have been done while this one hung around.
But finally it is done. I added borders and called it a day. It is ready for winter.
Side Note:
Two weeks or so after I had this finished and hung it up, I was looking and thinking something was off. Do you see it? The center blocks on each side are flipped.
Remember when I said earlier that I wanted a quilt like Angel from FQS. Mine is not quite the same, but it is a winner for me.

That is gorgeous, Jan! I love it with the white design and blue background. I wouldn’t have noticed the *change* in the design that you made without you pointing it out, but now you’ve made it your own, 🙂
That really took a long time for me to see – but I like it flipped – just like real snowflakes – no one is the same!! Its perfect – and ready for winter!
I would not have seen your design addition unless you pointed it out. Funny that this one was one that sat for a bit – do you know why? I love this version as much as the original. They are both really fun and look forward to seeing it quilted and bound!
It’s a personalized version. I actually like it the way you sewed it. I saved all the directions but I’m not sure I’ll ever actually make it. It’s tempting though!
Super cute, Jan! I didn’t notice your “design element”. Makes it unique, for sure!!!
