Hands 2 Help

Another year and another quilt for

I posted about two quilts for two girls aging out of the foster system and moving into their new places, you can see those quilts here.  There are two other quilts in that post that were sent off to Quilty Hugs.

I won a FQ Bundle of Cotton & Steel Friends by Christian Robinson.  Decided to pull it out and untie the bundle and do a fifth quilt for charities this spring.

I had been wanting to make a triangle quilt so pulled this pattern out of my file.  You can get this pattern free from Sugar Plum by Freshly Handmade

Spent some time cutting triangles.

Spent a day putting together the top.  When it was time to put together the backing, I had completely forgotten a panel was included in this bundle.  It was such a great addition to the back and it filled the space of not having enough navy for the backing.

Did a simple quilting along the edge of each triangle.  I love how that comes out on the backing.

This was already sent and received by Quilty Hugs.  I do like this triangle quilt.  I think there will be more of these in my future.

Thanks for the pattern link! I’ve been toying with the idea of a triangle quilt for quite some time. This additional quilt was a wonderful addition to your H2H contribution and a great use of that FQ bundle and oh SEW generous of you!!

Big Wow, do I love everything about this quilt. I have fat quarters of the same fabrics, live the simple but effective quilting. Great job!,,,,,

The panel is perfect for the backing! Equilateral triangle quilts are fun and using the piecing lines as guilds for the quilting is perfect.

A nice finish, Jan! I agree that the panel was perfect for the backing. All those triangles!

Wow, I love what you did with this. It is a great pattern and a lot of fun. How much more fun to find the panel. I love that it rescued the navy back that was lacking a little more yardage. The quilting is perfect too; it makes for a perfect gift for someone who needs it.

I love it, Jan!!! Looks like a lot of work sewing all those cute, little triangles. Perfect way to use that printed panel of patchwork, too!!!
