My October goal with Elm Street Quilts was to finish this Christmas tree project for my sister. You can read about it’s inception here.
This was before October. Borders, quilting, binding and decorating this tree needed to happen.
First things first, what to use for borders green with red or red with green?
My sister voted and her choice was green border with red binding. Backing picked and done.
Now it is time to decorate the tree. She had picked out red buttons and these really cute white snowflake buttons.
Red buttons are done.
Here are the snowflakes.
This tree measures 26 3/4 wide and 76 3/4 tall. It is a big tree. The tree is by Cindi Edgerton. Here is a link to her page Cindi
Here is my final tree.
If you would like to make the same tree, let me know I have one set of tissue paper patterns for this tree.
I am linking up with Elm Street Quilts OMG.
Really pretty work Jan. It’s amazing that you have been quilting for only about four years. Your sister will love this wall hanging.
Jan, that is fantastic….I am sure the one you made me will be arriving in the mail soon!LOL,
Oh wow! That is terrific and the embellishments are perfect. That is one tall tree!
Does she have a spot picked out for this pretty quilt? I’ve seen that pattern but didn’t realize it was so tall. What fun! I’d say the two of you make a good team!
Super tall tree! Super cute, especially with those buttons!
Great teamwork with a lovely result.
This is gorgeous! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish!
Lovely Christmas tree! Love the red buttons, cute!
