Here is a quick finish for this week. I used the remaining nine blocks from my reign as Queen in March. This is the Fat Quarter Shop Remix – Picnic Time Pillow
It is a quick block that measures up at 16 1/2 inches, a few blocks make a nice little throw.
I was gifted a Quilter Dream Green batting and decided this would be a perfect use. I wasn’t sure of the feel as I was putting the sandwich together, it felt a little artificial. If that can be, a bit of a plastic feel. Not sure if that was just in my head or not. The quilting was quick and nice, no different of a feel for the needle as my usual Warm and White batting. After the wash, it feels ok. I may give it a try again, but it won’t be my go to batting. Glad to have receive it and was able to give it a try.
For this one, I use the wavy lines with the walking foot for quilting.
Some leftover patriot print for the backing and leftover navy grunge for the binding.
Now I only have three project remaining incomplete. A gift quick of Cat in the Hat, a paper pieced Christmas tree and a wall quilt (40 x 40).
Time to get the next project done.
Oh, I like the texture from that wavy line quilting. I’ll have to remember to try that. Only three projects left undone?? Want some of mine?? Anyway — yay for you!
That quilting gives it great texture, Jan!
Terrific finish! I, too, do like the texture of that quilting. It is a lovely little quilt and you did a fab job. I only wish I had 3 UFOs. I am so looking forward to saying that one day. Any decision on your sewing table yet?
