It’s time for Block 4 of the FQS Clementine QAL. Remember this QAL started in January and finishes in July and it benefits St. Judes. Kits are still available here FQS.
This block is called Coconut Cross. It is the first block we are using the beautiful green from Mama’s Cottage.
Don’t look to closely at this block the points are a bit “unique”. I say that instead of not close to perfect.
Just like the past three months, we are making two blocks. One small, 12.5″ x 12.5″, and one large, 20.5″ x 20.5″. I am really liking these larger blocks. They go together quickly and give you a nice start to a small quilt. Four of these would give you a little 40″ x 40″ quilt.
Here are links to my first three blocks:
Time is flying by and it won’t be long before we are working on the last block. So don’t wait too long to get started. Patterns for each block can be found here. The Clementine patterns are FREE to download! On the 25th of every month from January to July 2018, we will be releasing the pattern and video of the block for each month. We only ask for a suggested donation of $5 to our St. Jude campaign for each time you download our patterns. So far the QAL has generated of $7500 in donations to St. Jude
Love the way this is turning out and the cause. Downloaded a few and will contribute as I love the idea of 20” blocks. That cottage green really does remind me of sumer.
Your blocks look great. I like the movement created by rotating the blocks when they are joined together.
I enjoy seeing your blocks, Jan. The fabrics are so bright and cheerful! I need more hours in my day and week to do all the fun projects out there!
